“I brought my two dogs to Jen….Max a SUPER energized and very hyperactive Miniature Schnauzer puppy and Simba, a mellow yet often defiant Yorkshire Terrier. After a few sessions, I realized that Jen has a “sixth sense” about dog behavior and how to solve problems when they occur. What I appreciate about Jen is she works well with dogs and she does not utilize a cookie cutter approach to training dogs. She makes an individual assessment of her students and tailors their program accordingly for maximum results. Jen has resolved many of my dog’s behavior issues.
She is very knowledgeable and offers a range of techniques and concepts to get a dogs behavior under control. I trust Jen immensely with my furry family members and would highly recommend her for any dog training needs!”

“Our history with Jen Gorman goes back almost eight years, when as new owners of a high energy Golden Retriever puppy, we signed up for a Puppy class with Jen. Neither of us had any experience with training a dog . . all we knew is that we wanted our soon-to-be “big” dog to be well-behaved and obedient. Jen was patient with us (when we clearly didn’t know what we were doing) and wonderful with Chief. She has a real gift for connecting with a dog and teaching the owners (who are really the ones being trained just as much or more than the dog) how to reinforce the good behaviors and redirect the negative ones. When we got our second Golden puppy (Max) about six months later, we were back again, taking another Puppy class with Jen. Fast forward almost six years, and when we unexpectedly ended up with a third dog (this time a terrier puppy), I took the time to find Jen and see if she was doing another Puppy class. Fortunately for us, she was, and Darby has now gotten that same great start on basic obedience and good manners . . and, we got a great refresher on some things we had forgotten. Jen is accessible, encouraging, knowledgeable and really fun to work with!”

“A great dog trainer has to be able to use her knowledge and experience to quickly assess what will work in the most efficient way for each individual owner and each individual dog in each individual situation. A great dog trainer is not only exceptionally good at reading behavior, communicating with and educating all types of dogs (ages, breeds, temperaments, drives, etc.) but she must be exceptionally good at communicating, empathizing with and educating all kinds of people as well. In all these respects, Jennifer DeLatte is a great dog trainer.”
